New 10k pb for Trish at ASCICS London 10k.

As you may have read before I began training Trish back in early April.I trained her for a total of 16 weeks,we had to train around her very busy life which at times became challenging but at the same time very rewarding.

We eventually got to target day at the ASCICS London 10k on the 25th of July. I was worried during the week before because the air temperature was very hot. But thankfully by the weekend it had come down just enough to make running a fast time possible. I knew that Trish was in great form from her training, she had improved consistently over the 16 weeks. Come race day we both just preyed things went well,Trish had done all she could in training executing all of my sessions to a high level.

Fortunately the race went superbly well, she managed to run almost a minute faster than her target of 43.00 that we had planned for! She also set a new pb of 42.01, knocking almost 30 seconds of her time from a few years ago! I was so pleased because when we first spoke Trish did not seem at all confident that she could recapture her form of old, but after 16 weeks of hard work she certainly dispelled that myth! A fine 7th in her class too at such a massive event put the icing on the cake.

Working with Trish has been awesome and I am sad that our time came to an end however hopefully we will work together again in the future.
